This is a scam! dont trust its the same guy with Maureen, Reece and Courtney from LA

These are the contact details for the attorney my friend referred me to that also assisted her aupair gain legal entry here couple of months back, he should legally arrange all necessary papers, prepare and issue out a copy of the Contract letter and also offer legal guidelines as I have been informed.

The scammer has changed his email address since then, so it is especially helpful to have his new one posted - and the fake barrister's email address also.

Email addresses ending with @lawyer.com are free 'fun' webmail addresses available from mail.com - scammers frequently use these addresses in the hope that it will convince people that they are a real lawyer.

Subject: CONTRACT AGREEMENT/APPLICATION FORM

Am writing to you again in respect to the job offer with the Walters family here in the US.
After getting formally acquainted with Mr & Mrs Walter they have accepted & authorized me to legally assist in the procurement of all relevant hard copy travel papers directly from the US home office & immigration department here.
I am attaching herewith a Contract/Offer Letter on behalf of the family for you to go through. Also attached to this email is a copy of your Work Permit/Visa Application form directly obtained from the home office, you are to read through it carefully, fill up with no mistakes and send back to my chambers so I can forward it back their office.

If you accept the terms and conditions stated on the Offer letter, you
would have to sign and date at the Bottom then send a scanned copy to
me as an e-mail attachment along with your properly filled up Application form
& three (3)recent passport photographs.


You will also be required to send along with the above listed requirements,
$620USD for the legal processing fee for your hard copy
Contract Agreement and D.E.R Approval certificate that legally entitles you to work
anywhere here in the United States for a maximum period of 1yr without the need to
pay taxes as a Domestic worker.
These hard copy letters and certificates will have to be legally processed over at the
home office & Nationality Directorates(ND) department immediately.

And your host family as agreed upon will be solely responsible for the expenses for your
Work permit/visa & all round flight fare.

Also, as part of policy you will have to choose your prefered courier delivery service option from the other attachment also on this email, So everything is summed up in total with your legal fee then I can provide you with a Batch No & transcript code so immediately hard copy documents have been legally certified and endorsed, we will use the delivery fee you make available now as part of policy to courier all travel documents over to your respective address you have provided to me.


Note: I have just been informed that there will be an increase in security measures over at the immigration & embassy from next week for all foreign applicants legally seeking employment here and this will definitely affect this application if processing does not commence immediately, so I have just informed your employer as well concerning this recent development.


In regards to this, you are required to remit payments for the legal processing fee and delivery charges as well to this chamber after you must have made your choice of your prefered delivery service agency.

LETTER OF OFFER


We would like to offer you the position of an Au pair/Nanny for a minimum period of 3-12months (extendable if so desire). The terms and conditions of the job are as follows:

Hours

You will be required to work for approximately 35 hours per week, weekdays only (Mon to Friday). Weekends (Sat, Sun) will be work free, and can be spent with the family or anywhere else you prefer.

Accommodation:

You will have a Private Live-In Accommodation depending on your preference with Private Bathroom, Sitting Room and Bedroom. Your room would also be furnished with a Television Set, an Internet Ready Computer System and a Fixed Landline telephone. We ask that all rooms be kept tidy and that friends staying over should only do so with our permission. If we go out as a family, you will generally be invited to come with us (at our expense) should you so choose.

Duties and responsibilities

Your main duty is the due care of Reece and Courtney. You will be required to get them ready for the day, get Reece on the bus for school, pick up after school and see to their needs in the afternoon. You will also be required to assist with homework, bath and change as required, arrange visits with friends, and see to after school activities, play games together as well as anything else that may be necessary for his amusement and wellbeing. You will be required to do some cleaning up (including washing, ironing for them and cleaning of your rooms).

Salary

You will be paid an amount of $1000(One thousand USD) monthly and an additional $200 weekly pocket money. Additional hours will be paid at a rate that we may agree between ourselves from time to time.

Start Date and Period of Employment

You are expected to start as soon as you arrive here and to stay for a minimum period of 3-12months. If due to circumstances beyond your control or for any other reason, you wish to leave at an earlier date than our agreement, you will be required to give one month’s notice. If we require you to leave, subject to the conditions specified under ‘discipline’, we will give you a minimum of one month’s notice.

Discipline

Reasons which could give rise to disciplinary measures are as follows:

Causing a disruptive influence in the household.

Job incompetence.

Conduct during or outside working hours prejudicial to our interests.

Unreliability in time keeping or attendance.

Failure to comply with our reasonable instructions or procedures.

In the event of a need for disciplinary action, the procedure will be:

First - a verbal warning.

Second - a written warning.

Third - dismissal without need for further notice. Reasons with would give rise to summary dismissal would be:

Theft or other dishonest offences.

Drunkenness.

Illegal drug taking.

Child abuse or neglect.

Vacation

You will have 3 weeks paid vacation after 4 months of service to the family. Vacation must be negotiated however, well in advance.

Medical/Health Insurance

This will be immediately catered for by the family upon your arrival in any of the Government approved health facilities.

Work Visa/Permit

We will be solely responsible for the legal expenses for your Work permit/visa & all round flight fare to the United States.

School

You will be enrolled in a public institution to attend a course in any language of your choice for foreigners during the weekends, for the duration of your stay, (this is however optional for you)
