Rental Scammer - [email protected]

Initial contact was in reply to an ad renting out a house. The scammer just wrote:

Date: Wednesday, September 28

Is this property available for rent?

Upon replying that it was available, we received this. Note the different email address:

From: Dr Kesava Mannur <[email protected]>
Date: Thursday, September 29

Dear [Name],

Thanks for taking your time to respond to my mail, i sincerely
apologise for the delayed respose. When can this rental be inspected?
Do you have a video tour of
this rental or pictures of this unit? Are you the direct owner or a real
estate agent?

What is the duration of the lease? . Can we sign more than a year
lease? Can we move in this month? I will be living in this property
with my wife and daughter. We do not smoke and we don't like pets.

Detailed personal informations and References will be provided in my
next correspondence. Is the utilities cost included in the rent?

In view of the time difference, i will want us to discuss on phone
and finalise basic arrangements.Let me know when to call you. Talk to

I received your mail, i was on call and had no time to respond
immediately. I apologise for this delay. I have instructed my wife to
follow up with the rental process due to my busy schedule this period.
I am a Consultant General Surgeon with an interest in upper GI,
obesity and laparoscopic surgery including hernia repair,
cholecystectomy, fundoplication for gastro-oesophageal
reflux/heartburn, laproscopic gastrectomy, and oesophagectomy. My wife
and i will be into private practice upom our arrival.

I will sign a two years lease. Please let me know the proximity to
school from this property as my daughter will be 10years in few weeks
from now. Do you have the dimensions or floor plan of this rental?

I own rental houses here in London, follwing my experience with
international students, the issue of credit check is relatively
difficult for non U.K students, in view of this fact, i have decided
to effect payment for the first twelve months and the required saftey
deposit. I will be arriving with my family on the 17th,Oct, 2011 with
my wife and daughter.

lease agreement, i can assure you that i am completely satisfied with
the terms and conditions. Please provide me with a mailing address on
receipt of this mail. With notation to your mail, i will be
establishing a private clinic on my arrival.

My reference in Canada will contact you today. I have just concluded
arrangement in view of the first 12months rent and deposit. Please i
need clarification on the total amount for the first twelve months and
safety deposit. You will be receiving the rents and deposit within the
next 48hrs.

If you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact my wife directly.
Please stop all future showings on this unit. I look forward to meet
