Pls. trace exact location of a scammer

My friend is actually being scammed by a certain Thomas Johnson..

Welcome here Richie.

The IP's you posted are from the yahoo headquarters, not the IP from the person who send the emails. When you post the full headers we can see if we can trace the senders IP.

That sounds just like a scam I got involved in, however, he supposedly is Jason Oman Edwards - Yes, part of the Sgt. Edwards Scam. He claims to be in Afghanistan, then transferred to Iraqu, where he goes on "missions" as part of his job where he earns $245K per mission and claims to have been in the Army for over 20 years, and earns $8500/month, and has a bank account of $22.0 million!

There are others supposedly involved in his "aid", however, after tracking IP addresses, I found that all of these other people are interconnected with IP addresses. I have 4 different email accounts (including "Edward Oman") who supposedly are assisting him in some way or another.

I tracked many IP addresses, and most were out of Sunnyvale, CA (Inktomi Corp.), Mountainview, CA (Google.Inc.), Brooklyn, NY (Yahoo), and Plainfield, IL (Yahoo).

I also received a "threatening" message via my phone that I found out through AT&T was a "prank" - it originated in Southern IL, went out of the country and back to the US to my phone number.

I will follow-up tommorrow with all information I have collected as I have to get this information together.

He stopped communicating with me on 10/31/11. I'm sure because he felt "threatened" by me.

Sunnyvale is where yahoo's servers are located, so those are typically Yahoo IP's and not "real" IP's.

Mountain View is where Google's server's are located.
