I received an email request for friendship from someone called Shawn Gray who claimed that he was in the marines. His email address is [email protected] and he says that he is a widower with one son. He 'fell' in love with me instantly and wants to relocate to South Africa. He is apparently currently on a milary base in the UK. Has anyone heard from this person. He also needs money to seal a deal (smile).

Many thanks

A search on the email address here brought up the following match http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewto ... 0yahoo.com.

While a search on Google gives a number of results, all anti-scam sites.

So I would say it is a scam.

Many thanks Alan. Unfortunately I have given him my real name and email address. I am very grateful that I have not fallen for his money requests.
