Hi my name is Charles. I recently found out that my aged mother has been communicating with a man named Morris sadd who says he is the chief accountant of a charitable org. that dishes out Allen larges money. My mother and this man have been communicating through email since October. In January my mother gave this man her phone number and has since started calling her.

When I found out I called him and asked him to stop calling. He then offered to send proof of who he was and sent me a photocopy of his passport. Sadly my mother has built some kind of friendship with this man and he even asked how she was and kept saying that they trust each other. His accent spudded foreign. He kept tells g me about an activation fee and said he was even willing to pay for half of it.

What do I do next? I have to plead stupidity here as I've never dealt with a situation like this before. Thank you for reading and replying.

Welcome to Scamwarners

Sorry for the circumstances, it would be helpful if you could post the email headers, and any other information that you have.

Judging by what you are telling us I have the feeling that you are probably right and that your mum is in contact with a scammer.

Prehaps you could point her to this site, I am sure that she would find very similar scripts already on here

Please remove your name and email address from the ????/To header and any others (such as Delivered-To).

?.?.=???? ?????????? (after noon), right? My Greek is mostly Biblical and some modern Greek forms look different to me.

ETA: Looked again, the scammer's address is the one in the To header? We need a message from the scammer, that shows where he is (usually).

By his own admission he is from Ghana. You mention Allen in your post Carlos, so it looks as if I have found the matter above. It is the usual 419 scam and there is No money , No lottery winnings, and No Mr and Mrs Allen and Violet Large Married for 36 years , who are giving away their money in large amounts.

As stated above, this is a definite scammer.

Just to clarify, though: There is an Allen and Violet Large, but there is not a couple by that name currently giving away their money.

They did win a very large sum of money in the lottery in Canada, and they did announce they had decided to give it away. However, it is done, and the money has long since been donated. They gave the money away to friends, family, and charities, mostly hospitals. There is no money left. Anybody who references them or says they are distributing money from them is a scammer. You can see a story confirming the donations were made here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... y-win.html

Since then, as you can see here, there have been thousands of scammers taking advantage of their name in an attempt to scam people out of their money.

Hello Mr. Lisa, or whatever you would like to call yourself!

I have never understood just what makes scammers think they can sign up here and fool people who spend a great deal of their time fighting scammers. Even better is scammers who make major mistakes in English, and show an inability to recognize the basics of Anglo-Saxon names.

However, we do appreciate you stopping by and signing up under another one of your scamming addresses:
[email protected]
I see that you have already been identified as using that address for fake loan scams.

Unfortunately, I have had to ban you, as we don't allow scammers to post here.
If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to email me at the address in my signature.

Lisa 12 We know you are Mr Morris Sadd and Ike Chukwumaduako. [email protected] and [email protected] and now [email protected] are your email addresses.
I obviously found your photo so I will make it a bit larger to make sure we know you.
Be happy.

Deleting your image from Yahoo was a waste of time. Appropriate action has been taken up with the licepoay and the baukay.

:laugh-s:

Pity and sympathy aren't the first feelings engendered by that 'cherubic' face.

It looks as if he prefers to have his picture taken by the photographer in a kneeling position, whereas the police favour a straight on view.
