Hi my name is Jen and though this forum and your sister forum I was able to find out that the guy that my mother met on a dating site 2 months ago is trying to scam her into sending him money . I was able to use a photo trace on the pics that he sent my mother from a link posted at "419eater" and found out that she is not one but one of many that this man has scammed in the past . Even though my mother is a "smart cookie" I think there for awhile she even fell for his lies a little . The warning flag went up about a month ago when he said that he was leaving the U.S for Africa (LAGOS) to work at a orphanage considering that he is ( 
) an orphan himself . Of course yesterday he calls my mother out of the blue on her cell phone saying that he lost his wallet and needs money asap to make it through the rest of the month until he comes back to the U.S again . (this is when he tells my mother> "please don't tell your daughter I know you tell her everything but this is embarrassing and I don't want your daughter to think less of me as a person " Of course my mother is going to tell me . 
what he said , she is my best friend . 
Thank heaven my mother does not have internet connection at home and only at work and has not sent this man any money . I have instructed her to not answer her cellphone (he gave her three numbers to call and now the number he calls from comes up restricted ) if it comes up restricted and not to answer his texts or his emails when she is at work .Now I'm just wondering what do I do next to further protect her from this "person " ?

I told her that by not answering any calls and texts that he will eventually quit trying to contact her and stop . (fingers crossed
