Hello,
I am from Panama and met "Capt. Ventura" funny weird name for a Brit.... on Badoo.

Every time i told him, how come you know about me,and i have never seen you going into my profile he would change the subject.

My first red flag was when I told him one day, your english does not seem to be a clean english, and also, he uses too much the word, queen, brits respect to much the queen to be telling everyone everytime that you are his "queen".

I started tracing his IP address one is from Seatle, Washington and the other one says private IP.

Who is he really? i have no idea, we have been chatting for some time now and today i got this weird feeling, and when I entered his email and googled it... voila! the word scammer popped up everywhere!!!

Then i started copying pasting his letters into google and also, scam love letters, scam canada, scam internet love ... and all that started to tell me. this guy is a real son of a gun!!!

Today, he made this approach saying a friend of him was very sad with some blame excuse... and then the money issue made its presence

Welcome to Scamwarners mmonsarum, I am happy you found out he is a scammer. Everything he told you is a lie. A real soldier has access to telephones and their money. The reason he told you the lie about the orphanage is because that is where he is. He wants your money sent to him in Nigeria. The IP you found is actually the IP for the email provider.

Please post his email address to help other women avoid his scam attempts. Also a couple of his initial emails to you would also be helpful. Please remove any of your personal information before posting.

I was about to be scammed by this S.O.B.!!!
I am glad you realized he was lying to you
He sent me the exact same letters he sent you: How original is that!! hahahaha
Well, I did follow all the recommendations given here in this site. I stop all contact with him, blocked him from my skype account, and actually since I dont use it, I also erased all my info. The thing that really bothers me is that at the beginning I felt completely for all his bull... and sent him all the pictures he asked me for (fortunately non of them was not even provocative pics, just regular pictures of me)... I just hope he doesn´t use them for his scamming purposes.
Any way, he still e-mails me now and then, and every e-mail he sents me I post it in my posts. But i never answer any of them, and will not ever answer to him.
Another important thing I learned here, is that you might get an e-mail from a "Scam Investigator", or something like that: that will also be a big scamm... So now you know if you receive that kind of e-mail, don´t even bother to answer it.

Thanks to you and ScamWarners i oppened my eyes, if not im pretty sure i would have oppened my wallet .. HOLLY CRAP!

He has "dissapered" for the last 3 days.... maybe he is a systems engineer or has a friend who is and finally noticed that he is being posted as a scammer. People like him.... get by someone the same as him....

He is not a System Engineer nor are any of his friends. He is Romance Scammer and his friends are scammers too. He is an African in Lagos, Nigeria. He spends his day in an Internet Cafe or on his stolen laptop scamming women.

@ mmonsarum Prior to you editing your first post. You mentioned a chat log. In that log he informed you of a pretend orphanage that was flooded in Lagos Nigeria. He was telling you that his Army friend had been donating money to the orphanage. Now that fake soldier can not access his money nor can he call friends to send money.

He was setting you up for money transfer to him in Lagos Nigeria under the pretense of the fake orphanage. This is a common scam tactic.

He mentioned that his friend served in Nigeria and Gabon and that the orphanage was in Nigeria.
Sure, he now tells me there have been bombs in the area ... i guess he reads the news in all the internet before writting to me... but... what really caught my attention is that i searched everywhere and no news about no bombing until... 2 days later that it was given a small line on internet.. .(how did he knew there were bombings?)

He knew about the bombings in Nigeria because he is there. He is a Nigerian, living in Nigeria, who spends his time pretending to be someone else in order to steal money from innocent people.
