Under no circumstance and for any reason should you EVER make any payment before viewing and inspecting ANY vehicle you intend to buy.

The scammer has no vehicle and he can't scam you if you insist on viewing the vehicle first.

Paying in to a bank account provides no protection whatsoever. If you've paid a 'money mule' no one will refund your stolen money.

The scam adverts are being placed on Autotrader UK in such volumes it's not possible to list them individually.

I'll link to the hacked dealer accounts and give a total number of the scam adverts produced through it.

In operating this way the scammer can cover every major make and mark, and make his adverts the best value and bargain as a result of any search made by a potential buyer. If a buyer is looking for the best bargain he will always get a scam ahead of any other vehicle on sale.

The scammer is adding them as I make this post.

Total scam adverts - 89

I won't identify the dealer targeted as they'll already suffer from losing sales to the scammer and face being charged for adverts posted by a hacker.

This particular advert deserve special mention.

It's being sold as a Jaguar but it's actually a VW. The hacker has distorted the photo so badly it actually looks like a Jaguar.

It's a joke :=) unless you're unfortunate enough to fall for one of these scams.

Is this going to be a bumper night ?

Check here for the rolling score. I've lost patience with notifying Autotrader UK of the situation, so they can check here if they have any serious intention of doing anything about it.
