Hello,

As you know it is a scam. Do you have any pictures the scammer sent? We can look at them and see who the real person is. Also if by chance do you have any initial emails sent to your father we may be able to show it is a script.

This email is not from someone raised in the US. The writing style is of a person who was raised and educated in West Africa. The scammer is located in West Africa. He tells you this upfront because this is where he will want you to send your money. The money request could before anything such as documents, lawyers, visas/passports and consignment boxes. He could also tell you he was robbed, held by customs or hotel fees. Whatever reason he tells you it is a lie. The money request will continue until you are broke or realize it is a scam.

Hello xxxxxxxxxxxxx,

How are you?I am so excited to hear back from you ..My name is Deborah and i certainly would also like to meet you as well but before that i will like to get to know you more better than this and see where it might lead us too..I was Born and raised in California in the city of Palo Alto but presently in Nigeria to take good care of my late father's properties ......I am the only child of my parent and I already lost my dad. I have been taking care of myself. I have been engaged before and I was hurt by my Ex-boyfriend...I caught him in the shower with my best friend. I have been since for over 4years now without any man...... believe that I have everything that any man could want from a woman, I know that but am not saying that am the best woman on earth, but I still believe in me, and in God almighty father, I believe that one day my soul mate and dream man will surely come for me. I’m open, sensual, kind, gentle, romantic... a different lady, I’m a very family oriented, sensitive and tender person, I want to give all of my tenderness and care to my special man, I enjoy nature, seeing the stars at night, listening to the sounds of nature, being near the water, swimming, as I love the ocean and sea, I like traveling, diving, dancing, drawing, skating and bowling, billiards, I enjoy music so much, Blues, classical and modern......I will be looking forward to hear back from you.

Stay Blessed.
Deb

Wow yup that sounds familiar. Lawyer fees and terrorist bribes the whole works. Is the same email they send to all victims and hopes for bite?

Most scammers have a basic profile script posted somewhere. If not they will contact hundreds of people. Once you reply to the scammer he will send basic pre-written scripts. He will continue with scripts for the first few emails.

Often the third party in the scam is also played by the scammer or someone in his gang. They will all be using free email addresses pretending to be official. In reality your father is emailing a young African male who has stolen pictures of a young beautiful woman. Most likely a porn star.

If the fake girl is a US citizen and stranded in Nigeria. He could simply go to the US Embassy for assistance.

The scammers use scripted emails and tend to send the same response to all victims. They use scripts because the formats have worked in the past and most of the them do not have the skills to write an original email without giving away the fact they have never been outside of Africa.
