Is this passport fake?

I met someone on Tastebuds.com, a romance online site. After texting awhile, I asked for proof she was who she claimed and she sent an image of her passport. Is it real, the photo seems too big and overlaps into the USA. Is this typical of a valid photo in a US passport? The edges of the photo are not sharp but feathered.
